Kansas City, Kan- Marty and Miles Postlethwait, co-founders of the Shadow Buddies Foundation, shared their journey of creating comfort toys for hospitalized children, inspired by Miles' wish for a friend like him.
The foundation has distributed over 2 million SHADOW BUDDIES to 178 hospitals in all 50 states and 20 countries.
Dr. JD Serfas, a cardiologist, highlighted the importance of such tools in helping children understand and cope with medical procedures.

- Miles underwent over 50 surgeries by the age of 17, requiring frequent travel for medical treatments.
